[TruthTalk] 'ad hominem'

\o/ !HALALU Yah! \o/ Greetings in the Matchless Name of YahShua !   I have seen no evidence at all on this forum that any here would recognize an 'ad hominem' if one walked right up and introduced itself.   An ad hominem argument is one where the presenter is addressed rather than the message.   Joe: 1 + 1 = 3!!!!!!!!   John:  Joe is an idiot.   THAT is ad hominem.   If John responded with the mathematical theorem that exposes the error of Joe's statement and thereby reveals Joe to be erroneous in a very simple truth AND CLOSES with, "Joe is an idiot", then it is no longer an ad hominem.   If the message is addressed AND the presenter is also exposed/addressed therein then THAT is NOT ad hominem.    I have been the subject of ad hominem attacks on T-Talk since the first day I posted here.  I see no sign of that letting up.   When I first entered TruthTalk at the invitation of one and then another it was with delight at the possibility of open and honest dialogue.  That thought was shattered the very first day as I was greeted with condescension, mocking and scorn by the list owner, Izzy and Terry.  Only one gave me a friendly greeting -- the Mormon DaveH.  I found TruthTalk then -- and now -- as a TrashTalk forum.   T-Talk lacks honest debate and most often engages in faux intellectualism.  In truth it is filled primarily with those who are either liars (or, at best, deceived and deceiving) and hypocrites on the order of those addressed by The Saviour in Matthew 23 -- and their end will be the same as those rebuked ones (except they repent ... if that is even possible any more for any of them).   Ahava b' YahShua (Love in The SAVIOUR) Baruch YHVH,   Bro.
