Guilt by association (in your mind only) is what you are talking about, Chris. There is a big difference between apples and churches. And what a grand reason for avoiding the writings of another -- because you think that maybe he'she might possibly say or think something that you consider to be false doctrine (which would, of course, be anything that someone else considered to be true). You probably learned to read and write from an infidel. And as soon as that happened, you cast the opponent away and became larger than all that has gone on before.
