Allow me an explanation for a single passage  --   Matt 6:33  "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ........"    This particular teaching has been a source of genuine purpose for me and it is this:  the word "kingdom" can have this meaning ----- "sovereign rule and authority."  In view of the fact that "kingdom" in 6:33 is a present time reality and not a future circumstance, this definition seems to be a fit.  If that is true, this is how the verse can read:   "Seek ye first the sovereign rule and authority of God  and His righteousness  .....," something I often fail to do.    For me, it makes a big difference.
