Excellent posts, Terry.  And maybe the point below is why I think it is entirely natural to have the first impulse to murder your adulterous spouse. In some countries it’s even quite legal.  (But a living happy life is the best revenge!) J Izzy   During old testament times, the penalty for sexual sin, sex outside of a union blessed by God, was death.  The guilty party was put to death.  This freed the surviving spouse to marry again.
