John:s'okay ya got my meanin'. Language is a blunt
instrument, as has been said previously.Some, I'd suggest, more closely
approximate this 'reality' in talk while others do in life. Both would be
better...eh?
I think it extremely important to acknowledge (as you do in the above) that there is a reality -- something written in stone -- the "truth." Ours is a "postualted truth" if you will. We read the idea, seek revelation on the idea, expand upon the idea, and sometimes discover that it is wrong. But until that happens, we consider it to be "the truth." This is why God must be the savior and why Paul said ".. when we know .. we do not yet know as we should) (I Co 8). I guess I could have simply said "amen" but I am in this preaching mode. JD |
