"It is clear why the New Testament is always talking about faith and repentance. Given what Jesus Christ has accomplished, given what he has done for and with and to the human race, given that he has connected us with the Triune life, everything now hinges on what we believe. To persist in believing in the lie that we are separated from God, and thus that we are "not," is to live with the lethal roux and its dis-ease and to be driven into self-centeredness and manipulation. ........If I had only one wish, it would be for assurance ........ Believing in Jesus Christ produces assurance in our innermost beings, and assurance changes us ... assurance changes our perspective ... assurance wars against our insecurity and in so doing relieves us of the pressure 'to become' ...... faith in Jesus Christ produces hope, and hope frees us from ourselveves to notice otheres, to care for them and give ourselves for their benefit, to love. In such noticing and caring and loving, fellowship is born, and in fellowship the great dance is realized in ever-increasing fullness ....... but as critical as assurance is, it is not the main point. Neither is faith. They are servants of a higher cause. They are not the prize, but the means to it. The prize is to experience the great dance in all its fullness and glory together. That happens as we die to our legendary selves and step forward in freedom to ourselves for others in love ...... Kruger
"... you will call out and the Lord will respond, you will cry out and the Lord will reply 'Here I am.'
You must remove the burdensome yoke from among you, and stop pointing fingers and speaking sinfully. You must actively help the hungry and feed the oppressed. Then your light will dispel the darknessand your darkness will be transformed into noonday" Is. 58:9-11
