jt: I don't think we can assume that she was repentant right at that moment. She may have been sorry she was caught in the act - sorry isn't exactly the same, it's more like a 'crying drunk' and the sorrow of the world only works death. But Jesus only did what he first saw the Father doing so possibly repentance would be a future reality for this woman since Jesus told her to "go and sin no more" which would be repentance as a way of life.   judyt
