Where we differ is that most on this forum view what we call responses as conditions.
I don't think this is true, Jonathan. We might at times use the word "condition," but it is not in the context of that false idea that we must do something before God will work with us. God always reaches out to us first. I certainly believe that repentance and holiness are all on the part of God working within us, responses worked out through us by the Spirit of God. We have little to do with it except cooperating with God. Just as we did not choose to be born of our parents and raised by them, we did not choose to be born of God and raised by God.
What we have problems with are:
1. The term "unilateral covenant"
2. The prohibition of the word "condition." For example, holiness is a condition without which no person will see the Lord.
Peace be with you.
