Thanks. I had a dissimilarly similar experience. My wife and I were to spend
some time at a cottage. I checked out a local bookstore for reading
material. (I bought before I sold) I picked up 'Are the Mormon Scriptures
Reliable?'. Upon my return I phoned the local LDS HQ in order to ascertain
their opinion of said book. Once they got past doubting the genuineness of
my question we were, as they say, off to the races. Eighteen months later
and many dollars poorer, I concluded that few persons of any persuasion are
open to 'conversion' for a wide variety of reasons; some of them quite
understandable.
