Actually, Iz, I am going to end my discusion with you. You assert that liberals want to change the meaning of the biblical text and when asked for evidence, you want me to look at divorce statistics!!! Your bias and opinion are things that do not benefit me to any degree at all and are certainly not regarded as salient arguments. Your disgust for "liberals" (something you cannot define with any sense of consistency) has blinded you to any "new" ideas and , my dear, you are a lazy student of the bibilcial message, preferring the proof-text Bible (also known as a "concordance") to actual meditative study, an appreciation for exegesis and contexual studies and meaningful exhange of ideas among fellow Christians. We have nothing in common.
John, most of the above are ad hominem attacks against Izzy. Please try to refrain from attacking people in a personal fashion. If you wanted to break away from the thread, you could have just written your first sentence and left it at that. The rest of what you wrote was emotional and hurtful toward Izzy.
