MOST are easily offended. I spoke with a man yesterday who claimed not to be. I believed him. Even, if not especially, within the 'believing' community I have found this to be so.(THIS being: most are easily offended). I responded to a question put to me (also yesterday) by a collegue. After she left it was brought to my attention that she looked 'offended/hurt'. I called to confirm and, it was so. Offence was taken where none was intended. (It's cleared up now.)

After much thought,  I suspect that most people are offended because of pride.  They think more highly of themselves than they should.  When this is so, the opinion of another that you may be incorrect or ignorant rips and tears  and shreds tends to hit you in the ego like a punch to the stomach.  Being Christians, of course this has never happened to one of us.
