This is very thought provoking. I certainly understand the idea of applause in this context, but in discussions concerning truth, I tend to think of it as unnecessary and wasting of time. I will think about this some more. I realize that my training in science is what taught me to skip the applause in scholarly discussions. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. You can consider this an applause of sorts. :-)
