    Ahhh, Brother John, again you hit the nail on the head! Thats my problem. I'm caught in memories and they just seem to bring on a meloncholy mood. I've been trying to keep things on the light side and joke as much as possible, but at times that doesn't work. A friend has even noticed that I have been sequestering myself much more lately. When it becomes difficult to deal with everyday things lightheartedly I just seperate myself.  My wife was a xmas junkie!  And now since before thanksgiving, I am bombarded with reminders of happier times. About a month to go and I'll be back to my old curmudgeon self.

Yes you will, my friend.   Hate to see or hear of hurt in the lives of those for whom I have respect.   With my sister,  it took nearly 5 years  to get away from her passing.    It is strange,  I remember one xmas season came with no thoughts of Nancy........nothing conscious.    As December roled around, I got extremely depressed   --   passed it off on growth pains or whatever.    Then, one day, I just stopped and asked myself what the heck was going on  --  crying, even sobbing, for no reason.     Deep down inside, there was that clock that had sounded the alarm.   Now,   I know what is going on.   It's been 25 years this season  --   and this is the worst in many a year.   She was the road most traveled  --  I was the hazard.   She passed and I remained.   She was ready (I now know) and I was not.
