wrongful behavior are two different things. We have a problem here because John
Smithson says that Izzy and Judy are dishonest and deceitful. That
means that they should not be included into fellowship with the community of Christ. Paul instructs us not to fellowship with those professing
believers who continue to sin (2 Thess. 3:14, 1 Cor. 5). If John is right, then
these are serious allegations that demand a response upon me. On the other
hand, if John is bearing false witness against his sisters in Christ, then he
should be shunned, that he might repent of his wickedness. The third
option is for everyone involved to declare the whole dialogue a huge misunderstanding. |
