'I'm not the only one who thinks Tom Wright is a little bit shallow on Romans' says David Miller.
I said that I was not the only one who thought the Bishop of Durham to be a bit shallow on Romans 7. I was not talking about his commentary on the whole book of Romans. His underlying paradigm that the Jews of the time were not the extreme legalists that they often have been portrayed to be is fine. I understood this from reading the Bible and talking with modern day Orthodox Jews long before I ever read anything Tom Wright had written.
Please acknowledge that you understand that I was talking about the seventh chapter of Romans, not the entire book of Romans.
Peace be with you.
David Miller.
