My question you is whether you believe they have already come to the earth, or will the participate in a future event.DAVEH: I find that curious, Kevin. Do you not accept there will be two prophets yet to come as foretold in Rev 11:10?Just found this one Dave.Who are these two?I am unaware of what LDS theology states on this matter. Perhaps you could fill me in?
DAVEH: OK......Thank you for your explanation. (May I assume your explanation is congruent with popular Protestant thinking on that?)They are Old Testament prophets
I believe they are prophets of the Lord who will be alive just prior to the Lord's second coming, which is how I thought most all Protestants considered them.
If my thinking is correct on them, then it would indicate that prophets had not stopped with the conclusion of the Bible.
I don't quite see how you've come to your thinking though. Am I understanding you correctly, you believe those two prophets who are described in Rev 10:8 were Moses and Elias??? When do you think their dead bodies laid in the street? I don't get the connection.
Notice in verse 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earthverse 6 had power over rain sounds like Elijah 1 Kings 17:1.power over waters to turn them to blood sounds like Moses Exodus 7:14-21They appeared together with Christ in Mt 17:3Zechariah 4:14 "These are the two who are anointed to serve the Lord of all the earth"
