BLAINE SAYS afterwards it turns out to be true after all, we often feel compelled to stay with our earlier condemnation, just for ego's sake.

BLAINE The point is that when we knock something prematurely, but afterwards it turns out to be true after all, we often feel compelled to stay with our earlier condemnation, just for ego's sake. And speaking of faith, I have faith that the Book of Mormon will eventually prove beyond reasonable doubt to be the Word of God. I am sure that despite many seeming problems, it will rise above them all and will stand as one of the world's great books. It has already been rated among the top ten most influential books in America.

Maybe I am missing something here, but what difference does it make if
this old rag is real or fake? We don't seek a sign. We live by faith.
