BLAINE: Oh yas, the usual stuff!! We have all been through this before. It
always gets dragged out sooner or later in a last-ditch effort to discredit the
book that is obviously of God, regardless of technicalities you point out. You
should believe the verse you quoted, as it applies to what you wrote--"And now,
if there are faults they are the mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the
things of God" Title Page
I would not Judge Joseph Smith as he translated the plates into English as he
knew it. As is made plain in the D&C, translating involved studying it out
beforehand, and then getting the burning spirit to confirm or reject what the
translator thought was correct. It was a laborious process, and one likely to
engender some errors. But the book as a whole is, as Joseph himself put it,
the most correct book on earth. He did not say it was perfect--simply the most
correct.

WHY IT IS NOT GOD's BOOK

The original edition of the Book of Mormon contained dozens of misspelled words
eg. tempels Alma 16:13
Thousands of grammatical errors in the original edition of the Book of Mormon
I have wrote to them 3 Nephi 26:8
Fabricated words numerority Alma 56:10
Changed doctrine in later editions (Benj changed to mosiah) Mosiah 21:28 king
Benjamin is alive in spite of his earlier recorded death in Chap 6:5
1 Nephi 11:18 Behold, the virgin which thou seest, is the mother of God.
Plagiarism including whole chapters of the King James Translation of the Bible
Plates containing Reformed Egyptian translate into Formal Elizabethen English
Poor literary value
No Archaeological value
JOSEPH SMITH CLAIMED TO BE AUTHOR AND PROPRIETOR Title page BoM first ed.
Prepares us for the inevitable "And now, if there are faults they are the
mistakes of men; wherefore, condemn not the things of God" Title Page

"Nevertheless, I do not write anything upon plates save it be that I think it
be sacred. And now, if I do err, even did they err of old; not that I would
excuse myself because of other men, but because of the weakness which is in me,
according to the flesh, I would excuse myself." (1 Nephi 19:6)

What I think Joe meant to have said was the BoM is the MOST CORRECTED book on
Earth!
"Remember, remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the
work of men." (D&C 3:3).

The Bible on the other hands is Pure without error. There is no comparison of
the two.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." II Timothy 3:16
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is PURE
