BLAINE: I posted a reply to your request some time ago. Didn't you read it?
Maybe it was at the bottom of other messages, so you could have missed it??
What I said was:
1) I no longer live in the SL City metropolitan area. I live about an hour's
drive, near Ogden. This is one problem but not the main one--see #2 below...
2) A major problem around conference time is finding parking within walking
distance of the Conference Center. I am mildly handicapped--can't walk too far
without engendering pain in left leg and lower back. This is the reason I drove
around the block trying to get a visual on you and others one other time. The
only other choice I have is to have my wife drop me off, then drive around a
few times, which limits the time I can spend. Talk to Ruben, he can vouch for
this.
3)Maybe I can make it, I am not sure, depending on what is going on at the
time. I will have to see (price of gas, traffic, family commitments, job,
etc.)

I offered to meet you Blaine but you have not even answered.

Now if you really believed your god, who talks thru his Standard Works
he has promises there too, you would meet me publicly and confound me. Seems
LDs are the ones confounded.

Here is proof positive that the god of mormonism is a False god who can not see
or hear Du 4:28 or come thru for any LDS
I have called upon you your god has called upon you your shame is now manifest.
Guess there are NO faithful LDS or there is no trust
It is necessary yet no LDS will open their mouth Publicly
http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/71
"is necessary and expedient in me that you should open your mouths in
proclaiming my gospel"
"Wherefore, confound your enemies;
call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye
are faithful their shame shall be made manifest."
"there is no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper"

Do you believe this D&C?

BLAINE: see comments interspersed below with **

If I had a dime for every time I heard this argument.
What do we preach (we are only ANTI's)

I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. My experience is that 99% of the LDS I
talk to can not even tell someone what the Gospel is!
Maybe you could tell us what exactly is the Gospel? Please give us your
definition.

**99%? Hmm, most LDS are VERY knowledgable about their religion. They go to
seminaries, they attend night classes, etc. "I saw another angel, having the
everlasting gospel to preach to all nations, kindreds, tongues, ,. . . etc."
The Book of Mormon has been translated into over 100 languages--it contains the
"Everlasting gospel." The gospel you guys preach is the approximately the same
as ours, actually, but for some major problems--for instance you tell everyone,
including yourselves, that there is only a heaven or a hell--no other places.
Right? We teach the great truth that there are degrees of Heaven, and each will
rewarded according to his/her willingness to live honorably and keep the
commandments. Those who are unwilling to repent and keep the commandments do go
to hell, where they are punished, but eventually Christ's atonement allows even
them to be redeemed from Hell's prison, to be resurrected, and to live with the
body and the spirit inseparably connected in eternity. ALL will be resurrected,
by our gospel, by
yours, many will be in hell forever., I suppose, huh? Hmm, I can't believe that
would happen. It sounds crazy to me--no sense of love there!!

Maybe you could tell us just why we are not effective in your mind
For someone that is not effective your Church sure expends a lot of Time &
Effort & CA$H to stop us. Why not ignore us we are harmless right?

**We are concerned for your welfare. We want you guys to know the truth, and
those who just might be deceived by your false doctrines need the truth also.

If we are so ineffective and as some LDS say we are actually driving people
into your church,
I would think your leaders would want to sponsor a national tour!

**That might just work, but for us to get behind you officially would be to
endorse what you are doing. By necessity, we need to oppose you. That way,
everyone has a clear idea of the difference between truth and the nonsense you
teach..

Then you can follow up with just why you think we hate LDS
How much time have you spent witnessing our "hatred" personally?

**I don't really believe you hate us personally--just our religion, and our
official Church organization, and the truths in the Book of Mormon. I might
also add, I believe you are jealous of our success!!

What specific conduct leads you to such a "clear" view of it all.
Why & how does this conduct show the "REAL" intents of our hearts?

**You oppose the true work of God--that tells me you are not truly of God and
do not truly know Jesus Christ, who is the author of our religion. If you knew
him, you would do what he commands, which is to support his work on the earth.

Do you read the National Enquirer?

**No, or at least seldom. I bought one recently to read about the Italians
doing some age regression on the image on the Shroud of Turin--they had a neat
photo of what Jesus Christ may have looked like as a youth. Very cool stuff.

The reason why you will not answer these questions or avoid these questions by
answering a different question all the while pretending that you answered the
original question is because you just have:
BASELESS ACCUSATIONS you learned from some other Mormon
Sad to say many LDS are just parrots. Sort of like the ROTE Testimonies you
practice at ward meetings.
I know that Joseph Smith was a BLAH BLAH BLAH!

** I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon
was translated by the gift of God. Is this what you refer to? I know this to be
true, I do not parrot anyone, although I am always gratified to hear many
others share my testimony. :)

BLAINE: Freedom of speech being the sacred cow that it is, I have no
suggestions on how to reach LDS ears and/or hearts with the "evangelical"
messages street preachers feel they have for LDS faithful, other than the
methods they currently employ. I am sure, however, that these methods are not
effective in making converts of LDS to any form of traditional relgion the
street preachers advocate. That much seems clear.

Which brings up a question, what do these men advocate? They seem to have no
religion of their own--they seem only united on the basis of their mutual
hatred of Mormonism, the BoM, JS, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, etc. It's clear to me their inability to tolerate a religion unlike
their own (whatever that is) is more at the heart of their activities during
Annual Conferences held in Salt Lake City than any religious convictions they
might hold otherwise.
