Here we have what may have been a off the cuff remark but it is the death blow to the pretenders the NASV & the Nestle-Aland greek text. The "former treatise" was the Gospel of Luke where we are told of the things Jesus Began to do & teach. Lukes gospel account is the only one that tells us of Jesus actions before His baptism.
Luke's account ends with Christ "carried up into heaven " Lu 24:51. Compare to "Until the day in which he was taken up." (see above) So the account begins & ends as Stated in ACTS 1
