Little children continually push boundaries so this can not be total obedience. I have
decided that Jesus was talking about trusting God and "living in the moment" which
is what my husband and I do of necessity when we are keeping the 2yr old grandson.
He allows us no time to ponder on the past or to be be anxious about the future. We live
in the moment at hand which is great.

Satan likes to take the failures of the past and project them into the future.  He also likes
for us to be anxious about everything in direct disobedience to God who says we are "to
be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication to let our requests be
made known to God"

All of which necessitates "living in the now"   judyt

David's comments wer very good  -----------    this is profoundly stated.   Excellent.   And a key thought in "marriage counseling."    Forgetting the past, even the immediate past and living without harmful anticipation of the future, even the immediate future, is a primary solution to communal and problematical issues.   Hats off on this post.
