apparently the NIV
committees' goals outdo the intent of the KJV's--they want ppl to
actually understand the WoG rather than pack a hefty volume (to/from)
somewhere
also, the
linguistic heyday of the KJV affected George Washington more than George
Bush--obviously his modern audiences who long ago abandoned King J aren't
necessarily liberal, they merely speak the current language of
the modern world
this means that one
reason Kevin's SPs must confine themselves to preachg in SLC rather than
(e.g.) in Bush's DC is that street level Mormons, unlike the ppl
in downtown DC, traffic in 19th c. Shakespearean linguistics and
the modified code/s in their 'KJVs'
in sum, outside of
'the history of English lit class' and the antiquated pre19th c. world
view of ppl like the Mormons, current KJV-only mindsets are
evangelically irrelevant
