Very interesting, John.  Can you tell us more about your experiences in
campus preaching?  Do you still do it?  When you did it before, how much did
you do it?  Did you see good fruit from it (conversions, the starting of new
ministries, the startup of new preachers, etc.)?  Did you have any mentors?
If so, who (anybody we know)?

David  --   you are so very transparent.  But I will be glad to share.   I do not believe in street evangelism for a number of reasons, by the way.      But, before I came to that decision, I preached on the campus of College of the Siskyous [sp].   That was also the first of my in class ministries  --   as I call it.   I was a pastor in the small town of Weed, California.    I never talk about numbers when it comes to conversions.    And I think it very immature for others to do so, as well.  But there was no success as a campus preacher.   The classroom ministry was different.   And, of course, there was my ministry as pastor.

Most of my ministry has been with the church, prisons ministries,  as a Christian coach (major league in Little League) and  wrestling (20 years) where my influence has been most effective  --  such as it is.   I intend to enroll at Fresno State in the fall and do another stint as a classroom witness.  Also, I am going to run an article in the local paper  at $146 a pop and continue my pastoral counseling ministry.    In late spring, Kathy and I are going to fire up our home church, once again.  I write a rather weird style of poetry  --  with a blue collar presentation at community events that invite such participation  (i.,e. Barnes and Noble)   All of my poetry is Faith centered except for a poem I call Dodger Blue.   I get great response from this.    This is in addition to working 6 days a week in a business that God is blessing in a most profound way and entering another  graduate program.
