LOL. That may have been what you had in your mind, but it was not what you posted. Again, Judy, you wrote, "The Holy Spirit never drives, He leads; it's the other spirit who drives - the one who works in the "children of disobedience".

Judy says  >  The Gk word ekballo above does not necessarily refer to the Holy Spirit -

Nor did I say that it did. I simply said to look into the words "cast out." I said this knowing that if you did, you would find that the Spirit of God was also involved in driving demons out of people.

I don't need to, Judy. You have already been proven wrong. Or do you not remember what you said: "The Holy Spirit never drives"?

But since you insist, look up the words "cast out"; both are a translation of the same Greek word: ekballo -- force or drive out, expel, exclude, reject; as ejection by force throw out, expel, drive out  Bill

jt: Now you are painting with a really wide brush BT and this is where the study of Gk words leads down so many rabbit trails that it's impossible to see the forest for the trees.  When I responded to Terry I was speaking of the interaction between ourselves and the Holy Spirit who is gentle and easily grieved which is why He is represented in scripture as a dove.  Jesus' ministry through Him of healing the wounded, binding the broken hearted, and making captives free is also gentle.  Jesus' yoke is easy and His burden is light.

The Gk word ekballo above does not necessarily refer to the Holy Spirit - even though Jesus did cast out Satan with the finger of God.  It may refer to the powers of darkness who God still uses to judge ...  jt
