No, he did not hold to the Protestant doctrine of verbal plenary inspiration (but as Kevin has so eloquently pointed out, there is no way for any of us to hold unequivocally to that doctrine, since none of us can prove that the original manuscripts were in fact infallible).

JD is all about MISrepresentation
He does not understand what I believe. Seems he revels in misrepresenting peoples beliefs.
I would submit that thousands of MS of the recieved text(which form the majority of witnesses) from all over the world at different times that agree amongst themselves is in itself pretty strong evidence for the divine preservation of the scriptures. The fact that my KJV book of Isaiah and the Masoretic text the KJV uses agree with the Isaiah portion of the dead sea scrolls They match word for word. The minority text disagrees with itself. This is the text that was loved by those Anglicans Westcott &Hort who passed off their new pretext from which we get our new bibles from.

While you are busy blowing off, Kevin, you might try to figure out who actually wrote the words you have chosen to ridicule on this, another occasion.  You have just completely given up on trying to throw close to the peg, haven't you.
