It doesn't happen automatically Caroline. Scripture tells us that God gives the Holy Spirit
to those who OBEY Him (Jesus) Acts 5:32 - The obedient are those who are being "conformed to
the image of Christ" by abiding in Him and allowing His Words to abide in them (John 15:26); those
who build their house upon the Rock. These are the ones who die daily by putting off sin and putting
on Christ - which BTW is not works. Obedience is normal Christian living.  Grace and Peace, judyt

OK, deal. Me first, then you. My definition of a Christian is one who is indwelt by the Spirit of Christ and therefore
has a relationship with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Love,  Caroline
This is my question to you - since you are the one who made the "loaded" statement
and I asked first :-)  judyt

So how would you define Christian? What makes a person Christian?  Love,  Caroline

What a "loaded" question Caroline.  I would say it depends - what you mean by the term "Christian?"
Is this a Judge Greer type nominal person who goes to Church and continues on with same old
hard heart and unrenewed mind - a person who merely inherits the "Christ event?"  How do you
believe one becomes clothed in Christ's righteousness??  judyt

does everyone here believe that all Christians are clothed in Christ's righteousness and end up in heaven after we die?
In that case, indeed "so what?"  Love,  Caroline

so what?

..if a person is comfortable with the idea of keeping their sin ..then such a person is comfortable in sin.
