No truth? None? You didn't talk about being comfortable keeping sin and
being righteous at the same time?
Let me try and slow down and explain what syllogisms are all about. What we
are doing here is taking a reductionistic approach to the problem before us.
We are trying to break down the issue into parts so that we can identify
which part it is where we are failing to reach a concensus. For some
reason, you don't get it. You keep trying to take a holistic approach and
keep painting with a very broad brush.
Let me break down the analysis and number them. Tell me where along the
chain is where you begin to disagree.
1. Originally you wrote the following:
John wrote:
>> I am comfortable thinking that YOU can keep
>> your sin and still be considered righteous,
2. Later you made it clear that you were speaking about many people, not
just Terry. So I reduced what you wrote to:
John is comfortable with the idea of keeping his sin.
3. Now I make the observation that saying that you are comfortable with
keeping sin is equivalent to saying that you are comfortable in sin.
4. Therefore, by the logical syllogism that we outlined earlier, we can
conclude that John is comfortable in sin.
Now from your most recent comments, it appears that you are objecting to
number 2 above. Do you now recant on number 1, or do you see number 1 as
valid but not number 2? Does number 2 communicate something that number 1
does not? It appears that our failure in understanding one another comes
from some thought process you have in going from 1 to 2 that people like me
and Judy do not have. Try to explain why number 1 is ok with you but not
number 2.

I think this is another part of the problem here. I'm trying to get to the
heart of the differences here and thereby illuminate truth, but you are
concerned about saving face. It bothers me that you can falsely accuse Judy
of misquoting you and have no care about the fact that it has been
demonstrated to you that you are in error on that accusation.
Peace be with you.
David Miller.
