Subject: Re: [TruthTalk] Narrow Way Not
Loving - correction
True JD, I have not extensively studied Kruger,
Torrance, and/or Barth but I have read enough
of their writings to know that I don't need to read
anymore. I guess the old adage "birds of a feather"
is true if not truth.
"My own brand of theology" as you call it is God's Word and this is what I spend my time
with;
I don't have time for the
teachings and theology of everyone who comes along. When they agree
with God's Word by His grace I can perceive it. I am also aware of mixture when I see it.
Did you know that men in the FBI who are trained to
intercept counterfeit bills never study
different forgeries? They are trained by
studying the real thing so that when the forgery appears
it is plainly evident to them.
I didn't learn this lesson overnight JD. I've had to
wade through years of mixture to come to
this point and life is too short. I don't have
the time or the inclination to repeat this lesson.
I trust you will understand that I don't
challenge you just to be mean. judyt
Kruger is not into universalism
------------- and you do not understand his teachings, much less mine or
Bill's or Lance's.or Deb or Caroline or G or
Jonathan. Idon't think you understand Miller's. You simply believe
what you want to believe and nothing will change
that. I suspect that you understand even less of Torrance.
I
am certain that Barth is someone you have never read or studied, preferring
your own brand of theological
understanding over others.
