How do we reconcile  Matt 22:14   "many are called; few are chosen" with passages like Rev. 7:9  "more than could be counted  ..  from every nation and tribe?"
We understand that ALL scripture is given by "inspiration of God" and that God does not oppose Himself so both must be true.

Do we realize that statements such as Matt 22:14 ARE LIMITED to the Gospel Accounts?   When Christ speaks of "many are called and few are chosen,"  He is speaking of the Jews.
No we don't; Jesus is the Alpa & Omega, same yesterday today and forever, same goes for His Words.
There is the business of "overcoming" JD although I understand it may not be part of your gospel. The one who is born of God is supposed to overcome the world (1 John 5:4) and this is the one Jesus allows
to eat from the tree of life (Rev 2:7).  So the ones who overcome and keep the works of Jesus are the ones who inherit all things (Rev 21:7)

When His ministry is expanded to include peoples from every nation and tribe  --   things start looking up.    Praise God.
For those who overcome they do and these are the "few who are chosen" - the ones following cunningly
devised fables don't make it.

Does anyone know of teaching outside the Gospel Accounts that counter the Revelation picture?   I cannot find one reference. JD

Yes, the rest of the Revelation picture ....
