The Assemblies' official
teaching (unless they have changed) is that someone who says they
belong to Christ can not have a demon.

well.
Then both you and the
Assemblies are wrong. You don't have to make like the Gadarene to have
a demon problem JD, just being caught up with their doctrines puts you on their playing field
and the demons themselves just love this because this enables them to come and go as they please and they have
a great time at Church fellowshipping with the Assemblies.
