I assume you refer to Galatians 3:26-27.   How is it that you did not know that the translation for "baptizo" is immersion?

I know that baptizo means immersion JD - what would make you think I didn't know that; I'm all for being
dunked rather than sprinkled.

How is it that you did not knowing that in this immersion,  there is a process implicit to the word translated "put on"
(as in "have put on Christ.'")?   And why, oh why, do you even want to deny that righteousness/holiness comes from this
process and and not  --  ultimately  --  from your own efforts?
My belief is that we are to pursue righteousness and holiness and that we are to daily put off some things
and put on others. Nothing permanent happens from ritual alone JD; we must walk in it.  Baptism is a sign

I am a living testimony to this fact.   And   --------     there are others, many others, who have this same knowledge.

We will have to see if what you are putting your trust in will enable you to stand in that day, the proof of
the pudding is in the eating.

More than this  --  you did not answer my question.   Here iit is again:
ou can twist it to mean anything you want,  Judy.   But "scriptures says what scripture says."   Where have I heard that
before?   Oh yeah,  it is one of your favoirite things to say.   So why doesn't it work for me,  as well?
I answered this question, it is in another post that you may not have yet read.

Recently, I have seeen Tozer quoted as well as the evil Bonhoeffer.   Recently,  I have seen your effort at "word study"
(ala  Strong's ) .   So, my question above is increasing in significance.

Have I ever said that I never ever read anything or that no other believer ever encourages or edifies
me in the Lord?

My study habits   --   again, you speak without knowledge.  JD
Your study habits are evident by your focus and that of Lance Bill etc. (our of the abundance that fills
the heart the mouth speaks) So right now your heart and your focus are on the teachings of men you
consider to be learned and the doctrines promoted by them.

You obviously don't know what it says JD; so how about laying aside Jeeves, Kruger, and
NT Wright and spending some time in God's Word. You need to study the scriptures - rather than
memorize; there are a lot of different words for fear in there and they all mean something slightly
different.  Why let all those Greek books sit and gather dust?
