From: "David Miller" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> *Note subject change Subject was "Baptism 4 dead?" and is now "Revelation" Judy wrote:
As for revelation. My belief is that God reveals to us what has already been written and noone has as yet even begun to plumb the depths of that. Scripture itself includes many examples of revelation that goes beyond what
is written. Agabus, for example, spoke of famine to come in Judea and also of Paul's being taken under arrest when he would arrive in Jerusalem. Jesus taught us that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things and show us things to come.
Yes and Elijah also predicted both drought and famine,
however, this kind of
prophetic direction IMO has become dangerously
distorted in our generation.
I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater
but I've seen so much
of the false in Church circles and there are never
any "others to judge" that I am
about "over it" even though I realize that the Church
desperately needs ALL
of the spiritual giftings.
Peace be with you. David Miller. |
