If we do not Judge we can not be obedient to God's word because we do not discern, who is who.
Who are the heathen? Publicans? Dogs and swine?
How do we fulfill these commands if we do not discern who is who?

MT 18 let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

MT 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine

DAVEH:  Ruben, as I see it.....Gods call happens at the point of the judgment.  Yet most TTers want to pre-judge folks as to whether they are saved or not.   Is there a reason you would not consider a person saved as I do...upon his entry to heaven following the judgment?  Until that point, it seems to me one has a promise of salvation (which I have defined as the point of entering heaven....excluding my secondary definition of being resurrected), which would explain why the Bible refers to people being saved.

How do we know if someone is saved? I ask this sincerely.

Christine, this is the million dollar question.  If I had a nickel for everyone that told me that they were saved, I would be rich.  Ive had drunks on Bourbon Street holding hands with two girls and a pocket full of condoms tell me Im saved or in 25 years of preaching sodomite parades around this country, they yelling they are saved.    People can look you in the eye and tell you they are saved and live like the devil, with no remorse or repentance.

I will you what I think.it is out of my jurisdiction.   We can speculate all night but the bottom line is that will be Gods call.  I know when to draw the line.  Looking at fruit can be misleading, we can argue theology for a year and the bottom line is we really dont know for sure.  My job is to warn, exhort and encourage everyone for that great Day and after that, it is out of my sphere.   Sorry if the answer is not blank and white but I would be cautious on eternal matters as that.  Warning, exhorting and encouraging someone on the wrong path, wave flags, hold the stop sign and yell if needed after they pass you thats the Fathers business.

Hope this helps.
