I filled the pulpit a few times when churches were desperate, but I do not remember impressing anyone, including myself.  I pray every day that He will figure out some way to use me, but it seems like I am destined for one on one stuff, especially with older, lonely, divorced men.  I am not knocking that job.  It needs doing and I get a sense of satisfaction from it, but I truly envy street preachers, sinful as that may be.

Terry, do you realize that the type of person God uses is much like you (see Moses for details)?  In my 25+ years of this public service, I have seen how the Father uses people like you.  There is a older fellow in my Church that is a retired school teacher and went to Church all his life and now has been public preaching with me for over a year.  His only regret is that he started preaching after 60 years of age.

Believe it or not, I am a quiet guy?  We had dinner once with a couple that thought I ate dinner with my wife while talking into a mega horn over the table.  They just pictured this because every time they were with me, I was preaching into a bull horn at an event, or any videos or news clips they saw, I was holding a banner with one hand and a mega horn with another.  When this couple told my wife and I this during dinner we laughed and even today we get a grin out of that.

I am suspect when someone is the captain of the debate team and wants to street preach or sells used cars and wants to go out with me.  Believe it or not, I do still get nervous Terry but what gaves me boldness is the much prayer before going out (thats all the behind the scene stuff.)  For example, this weekend the J.W.ers will be having a convention and being memorial weekend, I will rebuke those ingrates for pounding their chest that no J.W.er ever went to war and living in America I find this appalling.  We have freedoms and rights that soldiers have died for around the world and they take advantage of this on other mens blood.   Other issues I will proclaim too (hellfire is real-144,000?-false prophecies of this Church-Jesus of the Bible).   Again one of the men joining me out there is a Baptist Pastor, that is about 65 years old and has been public preaching for about 2 years now and man.the things he can say in public that he cannot behind the pulpit..freedom.

Understand this, one does not have to be a talker, to proclaim the gospel and I am a very quiet person (ask David Miller or my wife).but put me in front of a large crowd and move out of my way.

If anyone is interested, we will be having a public preaching convention during the Labor Day Weekend in Missouri and there you can really see what makes us tick.
