And the picture Deegan presents may be typical  for his area.   But it is not so out here.   I have a friend who teaches high school  --  a math major.   Well, he was given a semester assignment in teaching science.   He decided to take a deep breath and make a statement about evolution and Christianity.  He fretted and prayed about this most of the previous night.   Not sure what was about to happen to him career wise,  Chuck entered the classroom with his assignment.  Just before he began, he decided to ask the class how they felt about creation/evolution.   As it turned out,  virtually no one in the class either cared or believed in a Godless component to how we got here.   His little speech wasn't necessary !!!!
 
I believe the "godless" influence of the secular system is fairly well countered through the grade school years.   At the college/university level --  the church has done a pathetic job of offering a counter to what is happening in that venue.

This is exactly what is going on with the kids today.
 
Just 2 weeks ago a average looking 13 year old told us all her friends are gay & she sees nothing wrong with it. a 13 year old should not know about such stuff. Of course she knew nothing biblical. BUT she knew that the Bible was False and Evolution was true.

If there is a God, He is too nice to punish people.

I am reminded of a statistic put out a few years ago by the Southern
Baptists. It said that of all the kids that were raised with regular
church attendance being part of their life experience, eighty-eight
percent of those kids, when they left home, would also leave the church,
and never return.

Thank God for the street preachers. May their numbers and their wisdom
increase. These kids will never hear Christ preached from a pulpit.
