There are false spirits and false christ's out there too.
Blainerb:  I agree with your comment, Kevin--but the question is, who are the false Christs and false spirits?  Kevin,  everything you say to berate Mormons is a double-edged sword. And it always ends up cutting back in your direction.  You are not even a Christian.  You are  a Kevinite, who preaches highly personalized doctrines.   You pick and choose from the buffet of Christian doctrines and doctrines of men, mix them together into a nice salad made  to suit your personal tastes, and that's what we get on TT.  You label it Christianity, but it is far from it.

Blainer:  You have hit on the right issue, alright.   There is a teaching in the LDS church that Satan for all practical purposes is the god of this world, ie., Lord of the spiritual wickedness that is "of the world," and not of God.  In other words, Satan has a lot of power to work through the influence of men and women who allow themselves to be overcome spiritually by the worldly powers.  Just for instance, I remember watching TV one evening, and there was this beautiful young woman who felt  sooo complimented and honored because she had been chosen to be a Playboy Playmate, and was allowed to ride in Hugh Hefner's limosine.  She thought she had really "arrived."  :>)  She really was at the top of the ladder, I suppose, its just that she had her ladder leaning against the wrong wall in the first place.  There is Satan's wall, and then there is God's wall.  We have to be careful to lean our ladders against the right wall.  As your scriptures indicate, the god of this "world" (of wickedness)  is definitely Satan.
