should be followed by a heightened level of spiritual insight, termed the Holy
Ghost, when you know.
Isn't the very concept of "Christianity"
based upon a belief that
(1) John the Baptist , a Priest after the order
of Aaron, came baptising with water, followed by
(2) Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest after
the order of Melchizedec, who came baptizing with the Holy Ghost?
Matthew 3:11
"I (John) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but
he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with
fire."
Jesus defined the Holy ghost as being like the
wind, which you could feel, but could not
see. See:
John 3: 6-8; "That
which is born of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit, is
spirit. . . . The wind bloweth where
it listeth, etc. " Hebrews:
7:11-14 (This discusses the need for a change in the law
as per a change in the Priesthood--from Aaronic to Melchizedek.) It is
highly pertinent to understanding the roles of John the Baptist and Jesus
Christ, as the level of authority changed from the lower PH, the
Levitical/Aaronic, to the higher PH, the Melchizedek. The
Melchizedek PH is after the order of the Son of God, and has all spiritual
power, whereas the Aaronic PH is a lesser PH given to the children of Israel
along with the Law of Moses, in order to be a schoolmaster to them, and bring
them to Christ, or to a higher lever of spiritual functioning.
Spirituality, or FEELING is what Christianity
(true Christianity) is all about!!! I was baptized with water
at age eight, and had the gift of the Holy Ghost bestowed on me by the
laying on of hands the same day. I kid you not, I feel that
spiritual influence almost daily.
