Homework? Which mss are employed and, which "translations" prevail in the majority world? Do you honestly believe that God is dependent upon the KJV to grow his kingdom outside of Virginia?

I don't esteem any century in Christ higher than any other Lance.  If you do your homework you will find the KJV
is closest to the original Jewish scriptures.  Ask your local Rabbi.  Where did the translators of the newer versions get the authority to delete 60,000 words from the OT and 30,000 from the NT?  Especially in light of the fact that the original scribes feared moving a jot or a tittle.  My - how far we are fallen.  jt

The KJV had it's day but, that day has come and gone. It's strange to me that you esteem the 17th century so highly in contrast to your views on the 4th century.

He met God's standard JD, even if you are not given all the details; he paid the price for his folly, lost the ministry and was forced into giving up his natural life to save the nation in a way none of us would choose.  However, he made it into the Hebrews hall of faith (Heb 11:32) showing that in the end he received favor from God so I wouldn't be either pointing a finger at him or trying to replicate his sin.  jt

PS: Maybe you should throw out some of those newer versions JD

Yes, Judy, we have been over this befroe.   And nowhere in any Bible I have in my collectional is there a statemnt of any kind that mildly suggests that Samson repented of his womanizing ways..... not a hint.  At the same time  --  he acknowledges the God of his fathers and relies on Him in the only ways he (Samson) can................. spiritually speaking,  a very immature child of God, but a believers.

JD we've been over and over and over and over this; apparently you can't learn and so it looks like Samson will forever be a reprobate in your eyes.  jt

I think the unspoken assumption here is that unlike King David, Joseph Smith
never repented of his adultery, but rather gave prophecies which justified
it and pronounced curses upon his original wife Emma if she did not accept
his other women. Jesus taught us to spot false prophets by their fruit. We
don't gather grapes from thistles, and so we expect godly character from
true prophets and ungodly character from false prophets.

Note that Balaam was a false prophet not because he failed to speak for
Yahweh, nor because he spoke falsely in his name, but because he had a
covetous heart.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
