Even though jD does not engage in evangelism or even observe such, something (fear) tells him it does not work, that way he is not responsible. So if all you evangelistic christians would just stop doing it, others will not look so bad.

What I do know, kevin, is that hundreds more are driven away than are brought to the Lord with the "lets go scream at total strangers" evangelism.  If that is not what you do, do not take it personally.

Aside from the ad hominem mischaracterization of "another man's undies," aren't you forgeting about the people who converted to Christ because of it?  If just one person is awaken from their stupor of a false religion, how could that be a "waste of time"?
