These are spirits who would never be mortal, so your question seems a little 
misframed.  They were created before our mortal existence, but when they 
sinned, rather than becoming mortal, they were condemned to hell with no 
plan of redemption.

Yeah.  Angels don't have flesh and blood.  They do not die physically.  In 
other words, they are not mortal.
