Is this sarcasim? If you see JD walking in the kind of love of which I speak, (which he may do, I'm new to this board) why do you all chafe so much at the mention of walking in righteousness? It was when I realized I was walking in it when I went back to scipture and saw that this kind of life, this kind of love, is what every child of God is destined to practice. If you do it and call it by a different name, praise God. Knowing and giving the love of God is the only way to live.

SNL has done some clever stuff, but I am not familiar with this Conehead sketch of which you speak. What is the joke? :-)

This interloper 'sees' JD as doing this very thing. He, along with many others of us, simply take note of self-serving (non-loving) human _expression_ arising within us throughout each day (whereas, it would seem, the Miller family does not) This one reminds me of the 'Conehead' sketch on SNL.

That is a self-absorbed comment. I am not saying you are self-absorbed, JD, but that comment is a self-absorbed mindset when following Christ. If you love God, you will live righteously.

By the way, "this is love, that we walk after his commandments." ( 2John 1:6)

I am not saying we should be obsessed with our personal righteousness, but that we will be righteous and blameless when we love God and walk in that love. I am trying very hard to understand why this is troubling to you.

Uh, yes Lance, that is what I meant when I wrote:

you

That is how you walk in righteousness. My father and I
are not saying to live for righteousness's sake, but
for Christ's sake, and your life will be glorify God.

You disagree with this?
