I find much of this rather preposterous. What you seem to be saying, David, is that a single, thoughtful, prayerful "Spirit guided" reading of the Bible will produce a full and complete understanding of the intent of the various writers. The absurdity of this conclusion (and I mean this in a kind way) should present the intrinsic error in such a conclusion.

For example, when you read Galatians 5:22-23, do you really understand the meaning that the Holy Spirit means to convey to you any better now than when you first read it? Maybe you know the passage by heart now, by memory, but is the meaning meant to be conveyed to you by the Holy Spirit only unlocked after you give yourself to industrious study over years of time? I think not. Peace be with you. David Miller. ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."
