Somone asked of me whether I'd attended the UOfC (Universtiy of Cynicism). I
did not.
There's a new book entitled 'Who Really Wrote The Book of Mormon? -The
Spalding Enigma. The authors (Cowdrey, Davis, Vanick) appear to have done
rather a competent job.
Y'all know the expression 'don't hold your breath......'? Well, don't hold
your breath 'til one of the participants on TT of the 'Mormon persuasion'
changes his mind.
The above is just a prelim for saying people who believe 'stuff' don't
change their minds.

This is an easy passage to quote, but not so easy to follow. Joseph Smith
shot and killed people in the name of his faith, but Jesus Christ took
nobody's life, but instead gave his life a ransom for all. When the
soldiers came for Joseph Smith, he took out a smuggled gun and killed
before
being killed himself. When the soldiers came for Jesus Christ, he ordered
his disciples to put away their weapons, and he healed the injured
soldier.
Quite a bit of difference between Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ, wouldn't
you say?
I have asked you to consider the evidence that Joseph Smith did not
translate properly the book of Abraham. You have refused to consider it.
Kevin has raised the subject of the Kindhook plates. Again, silence on
your
part. How can we take your position seriously if you stick your head in
the
sand like an ostrich whenever serious questions are raised? I'm not
trying
to be insulting. I just consider these to be serious issues that are to
Mormonism what a smoking gun is in a murder case. Will you ever address
these issues (book of Abraham and Kinderhook plates) with us?
Peace be with you.
David Miller.
