So does that mean you do too, or are you just trying to be funny?

Don't you think the following passage argues that the flesh serves the law
of sin and has no good thing in it?

Romans 7:17-25
(17) Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
(18) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find
not.
(19) For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not,
that I do.
(20) Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that
dwelleth in me.
(21) I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
(22) For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
(23) But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my
mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my
members.
(24) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this
death?
(25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I
myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul argues in the next chapter that we should live after the spirit and
mortify the deeds of the body if we are to live:

Romans 8:13
(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Jesus teaches us that the flesh is the source of temptation in the following
passage:

Mark 14:38
(38) Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is
ready, but the flesh is weak.

In this case, the temptation was a flesh that wanted to sleep.

Following is yet another passage which shows the flesh to be the source of
sinful temptation:

Galatians 5:16-24
(16) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
(17) For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would.
(18) But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
(19) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
(20) Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies,
(21) Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which
I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do
such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
(22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
(23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(24) And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections
and lusts.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
