MANY others but, apart from Scripture, the book he finds most demanding on our lives is 'The Cost of Discipleship' by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Another author he's found helpful is the little known E. Stanley Jones, missionary to India. He (Jones) befriended  Gandhi who was to have said 'If Christians would really live according to the teachings of Christ, as found in the Bible, all of India would be Christian today.'

Yes, I completed it long enough ago to have forgotten most of it already. J Need to borrow it?  ThatÂ’s quite a course, requiring you to read a book that huge! How many others? Iz

Also up early. I'm listening to a course entitled 'Studies on the Sermon on the Mount" by Darrell Johnson. One of the books, along with the Bible of course, that he requires to be read is 'The Divine Conspiracy' by Dallas Willard. Have you completed reading it, Iz?
