I strongly suspect that most believers are tempted to sin daily.  How long you must entertain the sinful thought before you become guilty of sinning is something that I have not yet been able to measure.  This is probably an area best left to God.  There are two other areas to consider though that are much clearer  Sin is rebellion. 
Sin is doing your own thing and not doing God's thing.  If your life displays a pattern of rebellion (doing your own thing, not denying self ), sinning in deed, you are not saved no matter how pious you act or how loudly you proclaim your faith.  The other area should be just as obvious, though you do not seem able to see it.  There are Christians who have resisted the Devil and the Devil has fled from them.  They do not sin every day.
