This weekend's assignment, boys, girls and grandma's, has to do with "law and grace."
Where does one begin when considering "law and grace?" Are they mutually exclusive terms? What of the influence of syntax verses semantics as one considers this issue? What of command imperatives and filial considerations? What influence does the Cross have to bear on the discussion? Does the ministry of Jesus as The Christ to the Jews have significance in this discussion? If the self-revelation of God builds as if in crescendo, how does that bear on the subject of law and grace? How does the thinking expressed in Ps 51:14-19 play into this issue? Does God's impowerment of the Saint limit the need for unmerited grace?
Best get busy. We only have 48 hours.
