Thanks Christine. Your comments, I have every confidence, are well intended though somewhat patronising. Waaaaaaaaay back on TT I employed the subject 'My theology can beat up your theology'. All theological thinking is done within the triadic structure of God/Man/World and, Divine & Contingent order. As you and your Dad mature you will grow into, one hopes, a more 'realist' understanding of the foregoing.'Til then I shall continue to appreciate the writing both of you submit to TT.

A recommendation:PBS online 'Commanding Heights'.; particularly section one on Keynes & Hayak.

One delights to hear of a friendship between parents and children. .

What a disappointing response, Lance. I hope you pray
about the importance of faith in knowing the mind of
God.

BTW, it is not by works that I abstain from the
destructive things of the world. It is by the Holy
Spirit in my life.

If He is your best friend, closer than a brother, how
could you speak of Him as such an ineffectual force?
My parents are my best friends in the world, and I
would not say THEIR influence on me is as weak as you
make the Holy Spirit's influence out to be. Their
influence on me is so strong because I ALLOW them to
have strong influence. Equally, by faith, I give the
Lord the greatest influence over me. I submit by
simple faith.

I am truly, truly sorry that you do not understand
this.

Blessings

PS- I will be signing off very soon, I have a Calculus
exam on Monday. But it was great to speak with you all
again. I will continue to lurk, however. :-) Lord
bless you all, dear brothers and sisters. Keep
fighting the good fight!

Hello again, Christine. Thanks for delineating your
position, your Dad's
position and, I'd suppose one held by many. Whatever
'works' for ya, guys.
