I received the following email from a past TruthTalk poster, Pete Krostag,
who now mostly lurks the TruthTalk archives. I thought some of you might
find his comments interesting.

Hey David.
Interesting things on TT. (FINALLY!!!!)
I see a little more clearly about the intent of law. As you know, the
intent of the Law can only be taught to us by the Spirit. We know that
walking in the Law doesn't make one spiritual. It just means you are a good
citizen or a religious person. Walking in the Law or observing the Law
serves to be the great illustrator of Spiritual truth. We illustrate God's
precepts by observing the Law! Do you have to observe or do every law to
learn Gods precepts? No. The understanding becomes greater if we observe
the Law. The Law teaches about the differences between worldly ideas and
Godly precepts. Remember, the Law is Spiritual and can be understood ONLY
by the Spirit. Why is the Law Spiritual? God uses the law to reveal some
of His mysteries and His precepts. The mysteries of God are hidden to the
ungodly and are revealed to the righteous. The Law was our schoolmaster to
show us Christ.
I am not sure if there are people in the TT community who can accept that
because they are not immersed in enough truth to even begin to understand
it. It seems that many of the TTer's can't or more rightly so, refuse to
think outside the box for a moment which I believe keeps them from growing
in different areas. As you know, thinking outside the box doesn't mean new
revelation from a philosophical perspective, but rather having enough
revealed knowledge to recognize the fact that idea is in fact from the
Spirit. I certainly am not implying I know everything there is to know
about the Spirit of God, but it boggles my mind to no end that people refuse
to bend a little on their perspective because they refuse to believe that
they might be wrong.
:-D
