Did you notice that each time you play the game a new set of symbols is
introduced? This is a hint.
Also if you calculate the values resulting from ALL 2 digit numbers, they
result will always be a multiple of 9:
pick 10 thru19, the result will always be 9
pick 20 thru 29, the result will always be 18
30 thru 39 = 27,
40 thru 49 = 36,
50 thru 59 = 45,
60 thru 69 = 54,
70 thru79 = 63,
80 thru 89 = 72,
and, finally,
90 thru 99 = 81
so there really are only 9 possible outcomes, not 100 like the list of
symbols suggests!
Now, look at the symbols for multiples of 9, namely 9, 18, 27,...,81. They
are ALL the same! So, no matter what 2 digit number you choose, you will
always pick the same symbol, which the program is about to display when you
click the sphere. A nice illusion.
